TE Connectivity CoolSplice Connectors
TE Connectivity's CoolSplice Connectors combines reliability with ease of termination. The connectors eliminate the need to pre-strip the insulation and are easily installed with standard pliers. Featuring visual-controlled termination and push connect buttons, CoolSplice offers a more ergonomic wire termination than conventional twist-on-wire connectors/nuts. New Standard connectors are suitable for splicing 22 AWG to 18 AWG solid and stranded wire. The Large Wire connectors can accommodate 18 AWG to 12 AWG sizes.

Large Wire
The connectors are suitable for larger wire sizes (12AWG to 18AWG (0.75 mm² - 4.0 mm²)). These connectors are available in red, yellow, and blue color-coded termination buttons that take the guess work out of matching wire size to appropriate connector. The connectors allow for easy factory or field installation using independent push button termination for left and right side of the connector. CoolSplice saves installation time and eliminates the need to pre-strip the wire using insulation displacement technology (IDC).
