Microchip Technology TimeFlash2 Oscillator Programming Kit1
Microchip Technology TimeFlash2 Oscillator Programming Kit1 (DSC-TimeFlash2-Kit1) enables users to quickly program field-programmable Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) Oscillators to a custom frequency in seconds, minimizing design time by enabling fast prototyping and testing. The TimeFlash2 Oscillator Programming Kit1 has the ability to measure frequency accuracy and power consumption of standard oscillators, regardless of the vendor, making it a valuable lab tool for engineers. Microchip Technology MEMS Oscillators are available in industry-standard packages that are drop-in replacements to standard crystal oscillatorsThe Microchip Technology TimeFlash2 Oscillator Programming Kit1 provides the following functions:
- Identifies the device
- Programs the Microchip family of MEMS Oscillators either through the GUI options or by importing a configuration file
- Measures the frequency of a programmed part
- Measures the supply current of a programmed part
- Logs the data history for each program and measurement
Socket Daughter Cards (SDCs) are required for programming oscillators with the Microchip TimeFlash 2 Programmer. The SDCs accommodate each of the six standard form factors (plus two additional SDCs for 14-pin and 20-pin devices) by simply providing a PCB extension to the programmer. For added convenience, the socket size is designated at the top of each card.
The TimeFlash2 Oscillator Programming Kit1 includes sockets cards in 6 different sizes: 7.0mm x 5.0mm, 5.0mm x 3.2mm, 3.2mm x 2.5mm, 2.5mm x 2.0mm, and 2.0mm x 1.6mm.
