Microchip Technology LAN9512 & LAN9514 USB Hub & Ethernet Controllers

Microchip Technology LAN9512 and LAN9514 Hub and Ethernet Controllers combine a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Hub and a 10/100 Ethernet Controller into a single package. The Microchip LAN9512 and LAN9514 are specifically designed to provide system architects with a low-cost, power-efficient, small-footprint USB to Ethernet and multi-port USB connectivity solution in a single package. These Microchip devices contain a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 hub with two (LAN9512) or four (LAN9514) fully-integrated downstream USB 2.0 PHYs, an integrated upstream USB 2.0, a 10/100 Ethernet MAC/PHY controller, and an EEPROM controller. The LAN9512 and LAN9514 simplify system design by leveraging the existing USB stack, which reduces PCB footprint by up to 65% compared to discrete competitive solutions.

The Microchip Technology LAN9512 and LAN9514 Hub and Ethernet Controllers are offered in a low-profile, 64-pin QFN package with a commercial grade 0°C to +70°C operating temperature range. The LAN9512i and LAN9514i variants of these devices feature an extended, industrial-grade -40°C to +85°C operating temperature range.
