Microchip Technology Ethernet of Everything
Microchip Ethernet of Everything is a quick and easy networking of "things" that can be controlled or connected. Common products that are easily connected and provide intelligent control through the Ethernet of Everything include garage openers, home appliances, HVAC systems, lighting, and an unlimited lineup of other products.
From the simplest environmental sensor to processing intensive devices, Microchip's 8-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers enable these applications, using lightweight stacks and a broad mix of smart peripherals. These devices work independently of the core and require little to no CPU intervention.
Microchip's Ethernet of Everything has development support that helps build upon an established networking foundation. The age of digital building enables Microchip's Ethernet of Everything to provide improved system performance, reduced latency, as well as ease of installation and scaling. This also includes the option to incorporate Power of Ethernet (PoE) for single line power and communications.

Getting Started Kit
The age of digital building uses a Universal Development Platform with a universal reference design for industry standard Power over Ethernet (PoE) infrastructure. This enables single line communications and power as well as a development platform and reference design for participation in Cisco’s Digital Building Ecosystem. The PIC18 PoE Main Board is populated with the PIC18F67J60 and delivers up to 48W device power. Extension kits are available to further expand the capabilities of the digital building.
