CML Micro EV9180 Evaluation Kit
CML Micro EV9180 Evaluation Kit is a complete demonstration, evaluation, and development platform for the CMX918 low‑power software‑defined radio (SDR) tuner. Designed to support reception from 150kHz to 108MHz, the platform (together with the accompanying ES9180 Windows® application) enables in‑depth exploration of all CMX918 features, including graphical visualization of IQ‑sampled output data in both time and frequency domains.
With individually accessible RF inputs, users can configure and assess the device’s full receive chain, including the PLL/local oscillator, mixer, IF filters, AGC, ADC, and digital filtering stages. The CML Micro EV9180 also provides an IQ data output interface for connection to a suitable host processor, enabling downstream demodulation. This flexibility makes the CMX918 suitable for decoding a wide range of signals, such as AM, FM (wide and narrow), SSB, RTTY, NAVDAT, DRM, DRM+, and for use as a tuned IF subsystem in high‑performance super‑heterodyne receivers.
Control of the EV9180 is handled through the CMX918’s serial interface (SPI/C‑BUS). For PC‑based operation, the PE0004 Interface Card (available separately) provides convenient access to configuration controls, real‑time IQ display, and options for capturing IQ data for further simulation or analysis.
