
Analog Devices Inc. ADRF57xx Digital Attenuators
Analog Devices ADRF57xx Digital Attenuators are silicon 4-bit/6-bit step attenuators with 30dB/31.5dB attenuation control range in 0.5dB/2dB steps. These attenuators operate in the ultrawideband frequency range of 9kHz to 40GHz with low insertion loss and excellent attenuation accuracy. The ADI ADRF57xx attenuators require a dual supply voltage of +3.3V and -3.3V. These devices feature Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI), parallel mode control, and Complementary Metal-oxide Semiconductor (CMOS)-/Low Voltage Transistor to Transistor Logic (LVTTL)-compatible controls. The RF ports of ADRF57xx attenuators are designed to match the characteristic impedance of 50Ω.
The ADRF5720/30 Digital Attenuators are mutual pin-compatible and are available in a 4mm × 4mm 24-terminal RoHS compliant LGA package. In contrast, the ADRF5721/31 attenuators are mutual pin-compatible and are available in a 2.5mm × 2.5mm 16-terminal RoHS compliant LGA package. Typical applications include test and instrumentation, industrial scanners, 5G millimeter wave cellular infrastructure, radars, Electronic Counter Measures (ECMs), microwave radios, and Very Small Aperture Terminals (VSATs).
